Polaris Music Academy respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

The personal data we collect

We collect personal data only when you choose to give it to us, through an enquiry or a registration. This includes parent and student names, the student's age and gender, your relationship to the student, contact details such as phone numbers and email addresses, how you heard about us, and lesson preferences such as the programme and the days and times that suit you. Simply browsing this website does not require you to provide any personal data.

How we use it

We use your personal data solely to respond to your enquiry and to administer lessons, including scheduling, lesson communication, and fee administration. We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for these purposes.

Where it is stored

Personal data is stored in the academy’s own management system and is used only by our team to run the academy.

Website analytics

We use privacy-conscious, anonymous analytics to understand how the website is used, such as which pages are visited and how long articles are read. Our own analytics do not store IP addresses.

Advertising

We use Google Ads to reach families looking for music lessons. When Google’s tag loads, Google receives your IP address, the page you are on and the page you came from, and may set cookies to measure how our adverts perform and to show our adverts to people who have visited before. We also use Google Analytics, linked to our adverts, to see how visitors from our adverts use the site. You can manage this in Google’s My Ad Center. The tag does not load if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, and it is never used on our private enrolment form.

No selling of data

We never sell or trade your personal data.

Access, correction, and withdrawal

You may ask to access or correct the personal data we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to its use, at any time. Write to us at info@polarismusicacademy.com and we will respond as soon as we can. Please note that withdrawing consent may affect our ability to continue administering lessons for you.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date above updated.
