On 21 July 2026, we officially opened the doors of Polaris Music Academy!
Getting here took longer than we planned. Renovation ran into delay after delay, and we wanted every corner of the studio properly settled before welcoming anyone in. So we began quietly, with a soft launch on 1 July, and once everything felt right we picked a date, ordered the balloons, and threw the doors open.
The ceiling did its part too.
The word everyone used
We heard it again and again at the door, almost word for word: "so cosy!"
Honestly, there is no compliment we would rather receive. Polaris was never meant to feel like a big institution. We are a boutique academy on purpose: a warm, welcoming space where lessons are tailored to each student, and where walking in feels a little like coming home. Hearing guests say it out loud, unprompted, told us the studio turned out exactly the way we imagined it.
Our guests taking a look around the studio, one conversation at a time.
Who filled the room
Friends and family who had heard about this studio for months. Followers of Teacher Jovanna, who know her as a content creator and music educator online, and finally got to see the studio in person. Neighbours from around the block, popping by to say hello. And parents of future students, dropping in to look around and imagine their child at the piano here.
The little composer characters on the shelf (Chopin the Cat, Beethoven the Bear, and friends) were ready to greet our youngest visitors, and the Official Opening screen kept the QR codes busy all afternoon.

Thank you!
The corridor outside filled up with congratulatory flowers, and reading the cards was the quiet highlight of our day. One of them said: "I can't wait for my daughter to begin her musical journey with you."
That is really what all of this is for.

Polaris has officially begun. To everyone who came, sent flowers, or cheered us on from afar: thank you! The doors are open, the studio is (reportedly) very cosy, and we are looking forward to seeing you soon!
